Ashton & Mouldsworth Scouts - Teepees

posted 23 Mar 2013, 02:36 by Simon Sherlock
Scouts have historically used either lightweight tents or the traditional heavy canvas ridge tents known as Icelandic's, which are heavy and bulky.

Early last year we were looking to purchase some medium weight tentage. The main criteria's were the ability to sleep up to 9 young people, easily transportable, and be robust. In particular, we were looking for kit, which would fit into the school minibus with the young people.

With support Of Mouldsworth Parish Council we were able to purchase two 9 person and one 5 person tepee's. We now have  funding in place for a third g-person tent.
